About the OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead a ground-up construction project for a new leasing office and fitness center within an active multifamily community in Arlington Heights, IL.
This is a high-visibility, hands-on role overseeing the full lifecycle of a ~2,000+ SF commercial amenity build—from sitework and utilities through vertical construction, MEP coordination, and final finishes.
The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership experience in commercial or multifamily construction, with the ability to manage subcontractors, maintain schedule integrity, and ensure quality execution across all phases of the project.
What You’ll DoOversee day-to-day on-site construction activities for a ground-up leasing office and fitness center buildCoordinate and manage all trades across sitework, utilities, concrete, framing, MEP systems, and interior finishesDrive and enforce project schedule, including 3-week lookaheads and critical path trackingLead daily site coordination, logistics, and traffic control within an active residential environmentEnsure proper execution of underground utilities, foundation work, and structural componentsOversee installation of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systemsManage inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycleLead weekly subcontractor and OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) meetingsMonitor quality control and ensure work is completed to plans, specs, and safety standardsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, enforcing OSHA and company safety protocolsProvide regular progress updates to internal teams and client stakeholdersCoordinate material deliveries, subcontractor sequencing, and site logistics
What We’re Looking For5+ years of on-site Superintendent xzbcwsv experience with a commercial general contractorStrong background in ground-up construction (commercial, multifamily, or amenity spaces preferred)Proven ability to manage multiple trades and complex project scopes simultaneouslySolid understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing across all phasesExperience with MEP coordination and inspectionsProficiency with construction management tools (Procore preferred) and scheduling softwareStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsOSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
