Position/Job Title GL Control Officer (OG-II)

Reporting to Unit Head GL Control Unit

Location Karachi

Educational/Professional Qualification

Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan along with ACCA Qualified and/or ICMA Qualified and/or CA Part Qualified.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 02 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounts and/or Article Ship preferably with a financial institution and/or audit firm.

Hands-on experience in handling GL accounts will be preferred.

Understanding of business and financial acumen.

Good business communication, report writing and analytical skills.

Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Basic understanding of Power BI.

Well conversant with relevant regulatory guidelines.

Outline of Main Duties/Responsibilities

To collect data regarding GL balancing and Validation for review.

To enlist all non-balancing and non-validation GLs issues.

To compile underlying reasons for non-balancing of GLs.

To maintain and update records of outstanding GL balancing and non-validation issues for monitoring and follow-up with concerned stakeholders.

To assist in identifying recurring GL balancing discrepancies and validation issues and provide relevant information for corrective action and resolution.

To prepare summarized reports of non-balancing and non-validation of GLs for perusal of Unit Head.

To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports for GL balancing.

To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Assessment Test/Interview(s)

Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the above-mentioned basic eligibility criteria will be invited for test and/or panel interview(s).

Employment Type

The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's Policy/rules.
