Financial controller

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and accurate GL accounting and closure by the finance/accounting teams across locations. Drive monthly financial closure, including review of provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules. Review and ensure timely completion of intercompany reconciliations and confirmations. Coordinate and facilitate internal audits, statutory audits, and other financial reviews. Ensure timely preparation and quarterly publishing of financial statements and management reports. Establish and monitor appropriate accounting controls, processes, and compliance across the organization. Review financial accounting and reporting for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable accounting standards. Work closely with business, finance, tax, treasury, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting issues. Lead and mentor the accounting team and ensure clear accountability for timely deliverables. Support the CFO & Management with reporting, controls, and other strategic finance initiatives. Ensure that all statutory dues are filed on timely basis.

Desired Profile:

CA with relevant experience in financial controllership. Typically, 5 to 8+ years of experience, preferably in a large-scale retail, jewellery, FMCG, or multi-location organization. Strong experience in GL accounting, month-end closure, financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, and internal controls. Experience in managing teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience with ERP systems and large-volume transaction environments will be preferred.
