Role Description This full-time Refrigeration Technician role is a position based in Phoenix, AZ, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems used in industrial and commercial applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime. The role also involves interpreting technical documentation, updating service records, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The technician will use test equipment and tools to verify system performance and may provide recommendations on system improvements, parts replacement, and energy-efficient solutions.
QualificationsStrong preventive maintenance and general maintenance & repair skills for refrigeration and HVAC systems, primarily critically charged and sealed systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and refrigeration system issues, including fault isolation and root cause analysis.Solid understanding of electricity, including reading electrical schematics, wiring practices, and safe work procedures.Hands-on HVAC experience, including installation, servicing, and performance testing of related equipment.Knowledge of industrial or commercial refrigeration systems and associated controls is highly beneficial.Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and relevant software for service documentation.Strong attention to safety, adherence to industry standards, and compliance with local codes and regulations.Effective communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong customer service orientation.High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical trades preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
Compensation Package
Hourly pay range starting at $28-$33 per hour. Annual bonus potential, 401(k), Vacation, Holidays, Medical & Dental Insurance Plans. xzbcwsv Normal working hours are 8 AM – 4:30 PM. On-call or after hours service will be paid as overtime (1.5x). Travel and expenses paid.
