Job Summary: Are you ready to contribute to the safe, reliable, and professional operation of the nation’s only gas centrifuge manufacturing facility? As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform a variety of general maintenance, repair, and improvement projects that support the day-to-day operation of our 80-acre industrial campus. Working under the direction of the Facility Manager, you’ll ensure facility spaces remain safe, functional, and presentable through preventive maintenance, minor repairs, office modifications, and general construction tasks. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance work including painting, drywall repair, flooring and ceiling tile replacement, office furniture assembly, minor carpentry, plumbing and other facility improvement projects. This position supports the safe operation of an NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) regulated precision manufacturing nuclear fuel cycle facility and must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” Clearance. What You Will Do: Perform routine facility maintenance and repair work throughout office buildings, production support areas, and administrative spaces. Repair and paint interior and exterior walls, doors, railings, equipment, and other facility assets. Repair drywall, patch holes, finish surfaces, and prepare areas for painting. Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, carpet tiles, and base molding. Assemble, install, relocate, and repair office furniture, desks, cubicles, shelving, cabinets, and workstations. Perform minor carpentry including trim work, door hardware installation, and repairs. Complete minor plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, toilets, valves, and fixtures. Install wall-mounted equipment including whiteboards, televisions, monitors, shelving, signs, and safety equipment. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify facility deficiencies requiring corrective action. Assist with office renovations, remodels, facility moves, and workspace reconfigurations. Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and material handling equipment safely. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner while minimizing disruptions to facility operations. Support emergency response and facility recovery efforts during abnormal events. Follow all work control processes, safety procedures, and facility security requirements. We’d Love to Hear From People With:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical school, trade certification, or vocational training in building
maintenance, carpentry, construction, or a related field preferred * Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facility maintenance, construction, or industrial maintenance * Experience with painting, drywall repair, flooring installation, ceiling systems, carpentry, and office furniture installation
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and general building maintenance practices
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and material
handling equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an NRC or DOE regulated nuclear facility
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance in industrial or manufacturing
facilities * Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and industrial safety practices Pay Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $46,036 - $76,726. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience. This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test. Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
