Cafeteria/Food Service AssociateMeriwether Godsey is looking for a full-time Cafeteria/Food Service Associate at a private, independent day school located in Richmond, VA.Must be available to work as follows: Monday-Friday, 8a-3pPay rate: $18 per hourWhat you will do:Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitudeOperate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient mannerTransport food and supplies to the serving area; assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food serving, and beverage areas.Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organizedClean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periodsMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignmentsInspect workstations for compliance with service standards.Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.What you will need:1-2 years of related food service experience requiredHigh School Diploma or EquivalentExcellent communication and good organizational skillsFlexibility; ability to switch between locations and job dutiesServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.Reliable TransportationWhat you will get:Competitive Pay, Meals, Uniforms, and Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.)!Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
