About the Role

Amity University, Ranchi is looking for a qualified and research-oriented Assistant Professor of Economics who is passionate about teaching, research, and student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Prepare lectures, course materials, assignments, and examinations.
• Mentor and guide students in academic and research activities.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputed journals.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
• Develop research projects and seek external research funding.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental academic activities.

Qualification

• Ph.D. in Economics or a relevant discipline is mandatory.
• Master's degree in Economics or a related field with a strong academic record.
• Candidates should meet applicable UGC and university eligibility norms .

Preferred Profile

• Strong research and publication record, preferably in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals .
• Good knowledge of Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, and Economic Research .
• Experience with software such as R, Python, Stata, EViews, or SPSS will be an advantage.
• Teaching or research experience in a university/college/research institution is preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and academic writing skills.
