About the Role

The TGT Social Studies position involves teaching various Social Studies subjects to students, ensuring they receive a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies subjects including History, Geography, Civics, Political Science, and Economics to students.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Use innovative teaching methodologies, including maps, charts, presentations, case studies, projects, smart boards, and activity-based learning.
• Conduct assessments, examinations, assignments, and projects to evaluate student performance.
• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student progress reports.
• Provide constructive feedback and support students' academic growth.
• Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and civic awareness among students.
• Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, school events, training programs, and co-curricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
• B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.
