Job Requirements

Qualification

• PhD in Psychology from an HEC-recognized university/institution . The qualification must meet the applicable HEC Faculty Appointment Criteria for the relevant discipline.

Experience

• As prescribed by the applicable HEC Faculty Appointment Criteria for appointment as Assistant Professor in Psychology. Relevant teaching, research, and academic experience will be preferred.

Job Description

• Teaching & Instruction: Plan and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Psychology in accordance with the approved curriculum, course outlines, and academic standards of the University.
• Course Development: Develop course outlines, lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and learning resources aligned with HEC requirements and the approved academic curriculum.
• Research & Publications: Conduct independent and collaborative research in Psychology and contribute to research publications in recognized journals and other scholarly forums.
• Student Supervision: Guide and supervise students in research projects, dissertations, theses, assignments, and other academic activities appropriate to the faculty level.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Prepare and evaluate quizzes, assignments, midterm/final examinations, practical activities, and other assessments while maintaining academic integrity and fairness.
• Academic Advising: Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students, monitor their academic progress, and support their professional and intellectual development.
• Departmental Responsibilities: Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum review, academic planning, examination activities, committees, and other responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.
• Research Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, and relevant institutions on research projects, conferences, seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary academic initiatives.
• Professional Development: Remain current with developments in Psychology through continuing professional development, scholarly activities, conferences, workshops, and relevant professional forums.
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to academic quality assurance, self-assessment, accreditation requirements, course evaluation, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices in accordance with HEC and institutional policies.
• Academic & Community Engagement: Participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, community outreach, awareness programs, and other academic or professional activities that enhance the Universitys contribution to society.
• Academic Compliance & Conduct: Maintain professional and ethical standards, comply with HEC and University regulations, maintain accurate academic records, and perform any other teaching, research, and academic duties assigned by the competent authority.
