Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Washington, District of Columbia. This position involves providing specialized urgent medical care to infants, children, and young adults in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The nurse will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting clinical operations and maintaining safety standards within the healthcare facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per day, with minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; current district of Columbia Registered Nurse (RN) license; two years full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting; recent pediatric emergency department experience; certifications including TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations; commitment to high standards of patient care and safety; demonstrated ability to sustain employment for a minimum of two years
  • Additional Information: Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. The RN will provide clinical care and support to pediatric patients, coordinate patient care activities, and demonstrate service excellence at all times.
