Job Description –Mechanical Design Engineer (Mechanical Press)

Department: Machine Building Division (MBD)

Location: Yamuna Nagar, Haryana

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop heavy machinery, machine assemblies, and special purpose machinery (SPM) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD .
• Prepare 2D drawing/ 3D models, detail drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation as per company procedures.
• Calculation and engineering documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• High level Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for fabricated and machined components/ assemblies
• Understanding of material selection and basic engineering calculations.
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and other manufacturing processes.
• FEA knowledge is preferred

Qualification

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in Mechanical Design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the Heavy Engineering or Machine Building industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SAP systems will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge about auxiliary systems such as pneumatics/hydraulics/lubrication is added advantage
