A manufacturing company in the directed energy laser space is looking to hire a CAD Librarian. This individual will serve as the bridge between electrical and mechanical engineering teams by managing CAD component libraries, documenting wire harnesses, and ensuring seamless integration between ECAD and MCAD environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining Altium Designer libraries, supporting PCB and cable/harness designs, authoring wire lists and connector pin mappings, managing BOMs and engineering data, and facilitating bidirectional data exchange between Altium Designer and SolidWorks through Altium CoDesigner. The role also involves maintaining library governance, revision control, and engineering change workflows while collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
