Assistant Management Accountant Location: Blackwood, South Wales Job Type: Full-time Are you an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in your accounting career? We're currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful and growing business based in Blackwood . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified, studying towards an accounting qualification, or looking to build on their existing finance experience within a supportive and commercially focused team. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting the preparation of accurate and timely management information, while gaining broad exposure across the finance function. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts Supporting month-end and year-end processes Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments Completing balance sheet reconciliations Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Analysing financial information and investigating variances Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes when required Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring appropriate controls are followed Providing financial information and analysis to internal stakeholders Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc reporting and projects About You We're looking for someone who is driven, analytical and keen to develop their career within finance . You'll ideally have: Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment Experience of month-end processes and reconciliations Good knowledge of Excel, including formulas and data analysis Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach Strong organisational and time-management skills The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team A proactive approach and willingness to learn AAT, ACCA or CIMA study experience would be advantageous , although candidates with relevant practical experience and a strong desire to progress will also be considered.
