Job Description
We are seeking a senior leader to drive large-scale transition programs and portfolio execution for our expanding India footprint. This includes in-house SEI teams, a rapidly growing Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, and multiple third-party partner relationships.
This role will be responsible for end-to-end technology & operations transition execution , including:
Migration of roles from onshore locations into the GCC
Conversion of partner-delivered services into SEI-owned capabilities (“insourcing”)
Establishing disciplined program management and governance across all GCC initiatives
You will act as the central driver of execution—ensuring that transitions are structured, risks are managed, and outcomes are delivered with speed, quality, and predictability.
This role partners closely with the GCC General Manager, global functional leaders, HR, Finance, and external partners to scale the GCC in a controlled and measurable way.
What You Will Do:
Transition Strategy & Execution (Core Focus)
Lead end-to-end transition programs moving work into the GCC, including:
Onshore → offshore role migrations
Third-party → SEI employee conversions (“partner to captive” transitions)
Define transition roadmaps, sequencing, and prioritization aligned to business strategy
Build and manage detailed transition plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
Oversee knowledge transfer, training, and stabilization to ensure successful handoffs to BAU teams
Partner-to-GCC Conversion (Key Differentiator)
Drive structured programs to transition work from external partners into the GCC
Develop business cases for insourcing, including cost, risk, and capability considerations
Coordinate closely with Procurement, HR, and business stakeholders on:
Talent identification and hiring strategies
Role mapping and capability build-out
Contract transition and exit planning
Ensure continuity of service and minimal disruption during transitions
Program & Portfolio Management (PMO Leadership)
Stand up and lead a GCC-wide PMO framework for transitions and strategic initiatives
Maintain an integrated portfolio of all transitions, migrations, and GCC programs
Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and benefits realization across workstreams
Drive disciplined execution through standardized tools, templates, and reporting
Governance & Reporting
Establish governance forums, steering committees, and execution cadences
Develop executive dashboards and report on:
Transition progress
Hiring vs. plan
Cost savings / value realization
Delivery health and risks
Provide clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership
Workforce Planning & Capacity Alignment
Partner with HR and Finance to align hiring plans with transition timelines
Ensure workforce readiness to support incoming transitions
Track capacity, ramp-up progress, and productivity during scaling phases
Risk, Issue & Change Management
Proactively identify risks across transitions (delivery, people, knowledge retention, vendor dependencies)
Implement mitigation strategies and escalation frameworks
Manage change impacts across stakeholders during transitions
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as a key interface across global business leaders, GCC leadership, and external partners
Drive alignment across geographically distributed teams
Influence outcomes without direct authority in a complex environment
Continuous Improvement & Operating Model Evolution
Refine transition methodologies, playbooks, and templates
Identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, and repeatability of transitions
Support the evolution of the GCC operating model as scale increases
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
15+ years of experience in program management, transitions, outsourcing/insourcing, or GCC/shared services environments
Proven track record leading:
Large-scale transition programs
Onshore → offshore migrations
Vendor-to-captive (insourcing) transformations
Strong expertise in PMO leadership, including portfolio tracking, governance, and reporting
Experience building business cases and managing complex stakeholder environments
Strong understanding of workforce planning and ramp-up in GCC models
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and globally distributed environment
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Excel, Power Point, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira
