Accounting Generalist

Company Description Strictly Restaurants is a boutique Accounting firm located in Hamilton New Jersey who is seeking full time individual to work in the Accounting Department and be part of the team. This individual needs to understand Excel, Compeat, QuickBooks Online and have experience with various Point of Sales Systems.

This position is in office full time, we offer benefits and have 401 which we contribute towards at year end. Great office environment one that people have been part of for almost 14 years. This position is open due to relocation of a staff member that has moved on. We offer a great starting salary and one that advance comes sooner than later as the business expands.
The only requirement we ask if the office is about 30 mins or so away from ones home so a commute is not a drag on coming to the office. There is and will be training but it is important that you understand General Ledger Accounting and the difference between debt/credit. Bank Rec's posting to the General Ledger Daily are the primary functions for this position.
QualificationsAbility to prepare and review journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.Experience working with financial statements and a solid understanding of basic finance concepts.Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend improvements.Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with managers, vendors, and team members.Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools).High level of attention to detail, organization, and reliability in handling confidential information.Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping; hospitality or restaurant experience is beneficial. xzbcwsv Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
