Position : Interface Specialist

Experience: 3 to 10 Years

Skills: HL7, US Healthcare, FHIR and client facing experience

Location: Navi Mumbai (Ghansoli) (Complete WFO)

Shift: US Shift (6:30 PM IST to 3:30 AM IST)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Interface Monitoring & Support: Provide ongoing support for existing HL7 and FHIR interfaces, monitoring their performance, identifying issues, and resolving them proactively to ensure continuous data flow between systems.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve interface-related issues, ensuring the minimal disruption of service. Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Interface Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance on existing interfaces, including applying patches, updates, and enhancements to ensure compatibility with evolving systems and technologies.

• User Support & Training: Offer support to internal and external users, assisting them with interface-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing training as needed to ensure proper interface usage.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of interfaces, including technical specifications, change requests, and troubleshooting guides. Regularly report interface performance metrics to stakeholders.

• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with integration teams, developers, and clients to address interface requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure seamless communication between systems.

• Testing & Validation: Assist in testing and validating new interfaces, updates, and changes before they go live, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and maintaining data integrity.

• Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Conduct root cause analysis for recurring interface issues and collaborate with relevant teams to implement longterm solutions and improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience with HL7 and FHIR Interfaces: Strong experience in supporting HL7 and FHIR interfaces within healthcare environments, ensuring data flows between electronic health records (EHR) and other systems.

• Technical Proficiency: Experience with interface engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf) and integration technologies used in healthcare data exchange. Experience in Mirth Connect.

• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve interface issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams, clients, and end-users.

• Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot complex interfaces with accuracy.

• Knowledge of Healthcare Systems: Familiarity with healthcare applications and standards (e.g., HL7, CDA, CCD and FHIR) is highly preferred.

• Adaptability & Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

• Project Management: Experience with managing and supporting small projects or change requests related to interface modifications or upgrades.

Must Have Skill:

• Have worked on Mirth with Java Script

• FHIR- Should have Implemented FHIR or Have Expert level knowledge on FHIR.
