Permanent | Full-Time | Office-Based | £50,000–£60,000 DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced, commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function in a key stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial insight, providing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and month-end processes.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
Maintain robust financial controls and ensure statutory and tax compliance.
Manage accounts payable, receivable and working capital.
Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance.
Manage external accountants, auditors and other financial stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and efficiency.
About You
ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
Strong technical accounting, reporting and analytical skills.
Commercially aware, with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicating financial information to senior management.
Able to work autonomously, take ownership and manage competing priorities.
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
SAP experience would be extremely beneficial.
