New Jersey/New York Barred Defense Litigation Attorney | NYC Based | 2–8+ Years' Experience

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office)

Compensation: $120,000 – $215,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus

Admissions: New Jersey, New York

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join its New York City office . This opportunity offers the resources and platform of a large national firm alongside the collaborative feel of a close-knit litigation team. The successful candidate will join the highest performing practice per head across the firm handling a diverse range of sophisticated defense-side matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of General Liability defense matters across multiple practice areas:
• Civil Litigation
• Commercial Litigation
• Construction Litigation
• Corporate Disputes
• Healthcare Litigation
• Catastrophic Injury
• General Liability Matters
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Maintain regular communication with clients, co-counsel, and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with colleagues across the New York office and broader national platform

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey & New York State Bar required
• 2–8+ years of litigation experience, ideally on the defense side
• Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently while contributing within a team-based environment
