Role Description The Commercial Property Tax Paralegal is a full-time hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, with a mix of in-office work and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting attorneys with property tax appeals and related matters, preparing and organizing documents, filing appeals with the Cook County Assessor, Cook County Board of Review and Property Tax Appeal Board and communicating with clients.
QualificationsExperience working in the property tax or real estate field preferred.Ability to perform thorough Research on tax assessments, property records, statutes, and regulations relevant to property tax appeals.Attention to detail and accuracy in Document Review.Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, government officials, and internal team members in a clear, professional manner.Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in real estate, property tax, or related practice areas.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with standard office software and document management tools; experience with legal practice management systems is a plus. xzbcwsv Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
