Job Summary: As a Maintenance Specialist, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome. You'll also assist in training new Partners.

Sanitation / Maintenance:

• Assists in training new Maintenance Partners
• Assists CCM or ASM in supervising 3-5 Maintenance Representatives
• Writes daily job lists for Maintenance Partners
• Provides superlative customer service
• Maintains Store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization
• Uses H-E-B chemical program; correctly organizes / maintains stock in maintenance room
• Empties / cleans trash receptacles throughout the shift
• Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards / SOPs
• Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders
• Performs minor maintenance repairs
• Maintains ceiling air vents; replaces light bulbs
• Performs Maintenance Representative duties frequently; performs other duties as needed

Work Experience:

• Experience in maintenance (preferred)
• Experience supervising (preferred)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work with customers and attend to their needs
• Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment required
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks

Education:

Licenses/Certifications:

• Completion of Company Orientation, Basics of Safety training, and In-store orientation

• Frequently push / pull with arms
• Occasionally stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements
• Occasionally be exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise and wet conditions
• Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs
• While there may be exceptions, the measurements noted are generally defined as--Constantly: 5.5+ hours per 8-hour day; Frequently: 2.5 - 5.5 hours per 8-hour day; Occasionally: 0 - 2.5 hours per 8-hour day
• It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and / or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
