Engineer Program Manager II

The Engineer Program Manager II leads and directs multi-disciplinary teams in developing plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation improvement projects at the Delaware Department of Transportation. The position manages multimillion-dollar capital budgets, programs, and schedules while directing public involvement and resource agency initiatives. Responsibilities include drafting engineering designs, reviewing permits and blueprints, conducting field studies, and providing technical guidance to staff.

Key qualifications:

• Valid Delaware or other U.S. state/territory Professional Engineering License
• Three years experience as a project engineer managing engineering programs and projects
• One year experience in staff supervision including planning, assigning, and evaluating work of others
• Knowledge of engineering principles and mathematics applied to technical problem-solving
• Experience with permit applications, blueprints, and regulatory compliance
