Designation : Senior Manager – Corporate Relations & Placements


Location : Pune.


Compensation : ₹80,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month


Preferred Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), M.Sc., MCA, M.S., or an equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized university.


Experience:

Minimum 8–12+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Relations, Campus Placements, Talent Acquisition, Employer Relations, or Industry Engagement, preferably within a higher education institution, university, or reputed educational organization.


Mandatory Requirement: Proven experience in successfully facilitating placements and internships for students from M.Sc., MCA, Engineering, and Computer Science programs, with a strong network across leading IT, Product, Engineering, Consulting, and Technology organizations.


Role Summary:

The Senior Manager – Corporate Relations & Placements will lead the University's Corporate Relations and Placement function by developing strategic partnerships with industry, driving campus recruitment initiatives, and creating meaningful employment and internship opportunities for students. The role requires strong leadership, industry networking, employer relationship management, and strategic planning capabilities to strengthen the University's placement outcomes and enhance its industry presence. The incumbent will work closely with academic departments, corporate partners, recruiters, alumni, and senior leadership to build sustainable industry-academia collaborations and ensure successful career outcomes for students.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the University's Corporate Relations and Placement function to achieve institutional placement objectives.

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with leading IT, Product, Engineering, Consulting, Manufacturing, and other industry organizations for campus recruitment and internship opportunities.

• Design and execute comprehensive placement strategies to maximize employment opportunities for students across M.Sc., MCA, Engineering, and Computer Science programs.

• Build, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, HR leaders, and corporate decision-makers.

• Drive campus recruitment activities including pre-placement talks, recruitment drives, internship programs, assessment centers, and placement events.

• Identify new corporate partnerships and expand the University's recruiter network across diverse industry sectors.

• Collaborate closely with academic departments to understand student competencies and align placement strategies with industry requirements.

• Develop employer branding initiatives to enhance the University's visibility and reputation among corporate recruiters.

• Lead and mentor the Corporate Relations and Placement team, ensuring high performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Monitor placement statistics, recruiter engagement, internship conversions, hiring trends, and key performance indicators, and prepare regular MIS reports for university leadership.

• Organize corporate networking events, industry conclaves, leadership talks, career fairs, and employer engagement programs.

• Facilitate industry-academia collaborations through MoUs, knowledge partnerships, guest lectures, workshops, live projects, and collaborative initiatives.

• Coordinate with faculty, department heads, students, alumni, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of placement activities.

• Maintain accurate databases of recruiters, corporate contacts, placement records, internship opportunities, and alumni networks.

• Ensure students are adequately prepared for recruitment through coordination of employability initiatives, interview readiness programs, resume-building sessions, and career guidance activities.

• Represent the University at corporate meetings, industry forums, networking events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen institutional partnerships.

• Analyze industry hiring trends, emerging skill requirements, and market opportunities to recommend strategic improvements to placement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, placement processes, reporting standards, and documentation requirements.

• Travel as required for corporate outreach, client meetings, industry networking events, strategic partnership development, and relationship management.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the University leadership from time to time.
