Senior Finance & Accounts Executive

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Finance & Accounts Executive to oversee financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audits, treasury, compliance, and financial control functions. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, effective working capital management, regulatory compliance, and coordination with auditors, bankers, tax advisors, and legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts & Financial Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and completeness of books of accounts.
• Lead the finalization of accounts and preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, schedules, and notes to accounts .
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal accounting policies.
• Review account reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and year-end closing activities.

2. Audit & Assurance

• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax auditors, and management/special audit teams .
• Provide required financial information, schedules, documents, and explanations to auditors.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor audit compliance and maintain proper audit documentation.

3. Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliation

• Manage accounting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
• Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of intercompany balances.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between group entities.

4. Taxation & Tax Planning

• Oversee corporate taxation, tax planning, tax audit, assessments, and related statutory matters.
• Handle Income Tax search and seizure matters, block assessments, special audits, and tax-related proceedings .
• Coordinate with tax consultants and advisors on complex taxation matters.
• Represent and/or coordinate representation before the Assessing Officer, CIT(A), Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, and other authorities , as required.
• Monitor tax compliance, assessments, demands, refunds, and appeals.

5. Legal & Litigation Matters

• Coordinate ICD-related matters and financial matters connected with legal proceedings.
• Liaise with legal advisors regarding civil matters, winding-up proceedings, money suits, criminal cases, and other litigation.
• Coordinate documentation and financial information required for proceedings before the Supreme Court, High Courts, and other competent courts/authorities .

6. Financial Control & Compliance

• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable financial, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain proper records and documentation for all financial and statutory matters.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
• Sound understanding of taxation, tax planning, and tax litigation.
• Working knowledge of audit processes and statutory compliance.
• Experience in working capital and Stock broking operations.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, bankers, consultants, legal advisors, and senior management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Qualification & Experience

• CA / CA Inter qualification.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, taxation, audits, and financial reporting, preferably in a Stock broking firm.
• Experience in handling tax assessments, litigation, banking relationships, and statutory/internal audits will be an added advantage.
