An independent private investment firm is seeking a Vice President to join its New York team. Working directly with senior leadership, you will help determine where the firm invests, lead transactions and translate investment ideas into tangible business growth.

Your involvement will extend beyond completing a transaction. You will work with management teams throughout ownership, helping turn the original investment thesis into results.Where you will make an impact
Shape investment convictionIdentify attractive markets, challenge assumptions and develop a clear view of the businesses and opportunities worth pursuing. Build relationships with executives, intermediaries and advisers that support future investment activity.
Take transactions from idea to ownershipDirect underwriting, valuation and diligence; coordinate advisers and internal workstreams; and present well-supported recommendations to the investment committee. Maintain ownership of execution through closing.
Help portfolio businesses progressPartner with leadership teams on strategic priorities, financial decisions and operational initiatives. Assess growth opportunities and monitor delivery against the investment plan.
Develop the team around youGuide Associates and Senior Associates, sharpen their analysis and help them build sound investment judgement. You will have at least six years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two years in private equity, supported by a strong investment banking foundation.
