Intern - Transportation Designer

Experience the journey from an initial sketch to a production-ready mobility product. We’re looking for a passionate and driven Transportation Design Intern to join our team in Bengaluru for a 6-month, full-time, on-site internship.

This is an opportunity to work on an active production project alongside experienced design leads and gain hands-on exposure to how creative vision, engineering, and manufacturing come together to create real-world mobility products.

The Role

You’ll work at the intersection of creative concept development and production design, learning to balance design intent with:

• Ergonomics and human factors

• Vehicle packaging and proportions

• Structural and engineering constraints

• Manufacturing processes

• Production-focused design thinking

Your Toolkit

• 2D Ideation & Visualization

• Strong sketching skills across traditional media - pen & paper

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Vizcom for design visualization

• Basic 3D modelling skills for form development & proportion studies

What You’ll Do

• Translate preliminary packaging layouts into aesthetic & compelling 2D design proposals

• Explore vehicle proportions, stance, surfaces, and form language

• Develop and refine digital surface studies while working within real-world manufacturing constraints

• Iterate to develop concepts from early ideation toward production-ready design

• Create high-quality visualizations and presentation material for key design reviews and milestones

What We’re Looking For

• A strong portfolio demonstrating fundamentals in vehicle proportions, stance, surface development and form language

• Strong 2D sketching and visualization skills, with a strong desire to expand your 3D workflow

• A genuine interest in understanding how production processes influence mobility design

• Strong attention to detail and visual quality

• Willingness to collaborate full-time, on-site in Bangalore for 6 months
