Draughtsman – Electrical (Busway)

About the role

We’re looking for an Electrical Draughtsman to join our Design team and deliver high-quality, error-free busway drawings in line with project specifications and design inputs. You will also prepare Bills of Materials based on the Rev-0 scheme so that materials can be ordered on time. Your timely 2D and 3D submissions will keep approvals, procurement and project execution moving smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Prepare busway drawings as per project requirements, including layouts, routing, sections, tap-off arrangements, flanges and support details.
• Produce shop drawings, production drawings, installation and coordination drawings, and cutout drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), Bills of Materials and as-built drawings.
• Set up project templates and create databases related to Revit tools.
• Keep drawing control, revision tracking and submission records in line with project documentation procedures.
• Make sure drawings are clear, accurate and professional, and suitable for site execution and approvals.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, project and site teams to bring in technical inputs, site measurements and execution requirements.
• Manage multiple projects at once, prioritize well and deliver on schedule, with customer requirements understood upfront.

What we’re looking for

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent electrical technical qualification).
• 3–4 years of experience in busway / busduct drafting.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D and Revit.
• Good understanding of LV/MV busway systems, tap-off boxes, ACB/MCCB interfaces, and UPS and transformer connections.
• Basic understanding of site installation practices and coordination issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
