Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer / L3 SME with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in IAM / Identity Engineering , including significant expertise in Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise authentication technologies .

This is a hands-on technical role requiring the engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, support, and manage enterprise IAM solutions , with a strong focus on SSO and MFA .

The engineer will work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, and third-party vendors to enable secure authentication, onboard enterprise and SaaS applications, resolve complex authentication issues, and strengthen the organization's Zero Trust capabilities.

The ideal candidate should possess strong L3/SME-level troubleshooting expertise and extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Conditional Access, Enterprise Applications, App Registrations, Service Principals, federation, claims, tokens, certificates, and PowerShell automation .

Key Responsibilities

IAM / SSO / MFA L3 Support

• Provide L3 technical support and SME-level expertise for SSO, MFA, IAM, and identity authentication issues.
• Respond to and resolve IAM incidents and service requests within defined SLAs , following established processes and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day administration and support activities across IAM platforms, including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) .
• Troubleshoot complex authentication problems involving SSO, MFA, federation, claims, tokens, certificates, authentication policies, and application configurations .
• Participate in major incident resolution and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring authentication and identity-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L2 IAM engineers .

SSO Integration & Application Onboarding

• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot SSO integrations for enterprise, SaaS, and externally hosted applications.
• Configure and manage SSO integrations using:
• SAML 2.0
• OAuth 2.0
• OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• Perform end-to-end application onboarding to SSO, including:
• Requirements gathering
• Technical analysis
• Configuration
• Testing
• UAT support
• Production implementation
• Work closely with application owners and third-party vendors to resolve authentication and integration issues.
• Support identity federation and integration with external and SaaS applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot claims and attribute mappings , including user and group attributes required by applications.

Microsoft Entra ID

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) .
• Manage and support:
• Enterprise Applications
• Application Registrations
• Service Principals
• Authentication policies
• Authentication methods
• Token configurations
• Claims and attribute mappings
• Implement and manage MFA and Conditional Access policies based on security and business requirements.
• Monitor authentication activity and investigate failures using Entra ID sign-in/authentication logs and security monitoring tools.
• Support Active Directory and hybrid identity environments .

Security & Zero Trust

• Ensure IAM solutions adhere to organizational security and compliance requirements.
• Apply IAM security concepts including:
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Least Privilege
• Zero Trust
• Identity lifecycle management
• Support appropriate authentication and access control mechanisms for enterprise applications.
• Investigate suspicious or unsuccessful authentication activity using available security and identity logs.

Automation & Operational Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IAM, SSO, and MFA administration activities.
• Develop or maintain PowerShell/scripts for IAM automation and operational efficiency.
• Improve operational processes and reduce repetitive manual IAM activities.

Documentation & ITIL Operations

• Develop and maintain:
• Technical documentation
• Configuration standards
• Troubleshooting guides
• Operational procedures
• Knowledge-base documentation
• Maintain accurate incident and service-ticket documentation.
• Ensure tickets are regularly updated and resolved within agreed SLAs.
• Follow ITIL processes and utilize ServiceNow for incident/request management.
