We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This position will play an important role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong general accounting background, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with and/or lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processPrepare and post journal entriesPrepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliationsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsAssist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reportsAnalyze account activity and research variancesAssist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactionsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable as neededAssist with annual audits and provide requested schedules and documentationEnsure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAPIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controlsPartner with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions and discrepanciesAssist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred xzbcwsv 3+ years of general accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingHands-on month-end close and financial statement experienceStrong reconciliation and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with ERP/accounting systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
