Donation Truck DriverJob Description of a Donation Truck Driver: Under the supervision of the Thrift Store Manager, this position is responsible for operating a company vehicle to complete routine pickups and deliveries of donated or other materials. Additional duties include assisting with loading and unloading items, supporting daily store operations, and occasionally working the cash register as needed. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and eligibility for auto insurance are required.Duties and Responsibilities of a Donation Truck Driver:Pick up donations at schedule appointments/directionsMake trips per week to landfill for trash disposal/scrap metal recyclingSupervise client/trainee who works as assistant on the truck and keep assistant time sheetHelp keep the store in a clean and orderly manner throughout the dayTest electrical donations that are donated for saleWork cash register as needed handling company moneyReceiving donation/completing donation slipsKeyholder responsibilities as neededHandles customer information and aware of client disability. Is informed of sensitive and held to confidentiality and HIPAA complianceMust be able to pass an adult, child background checks, and drug screensAll other jobs as assignedMinimum Qualifications of a Donation Truck Driver:Have a valid Arkansas Drivers License and ability to be on company auto insurancePrior experience driving a box truck with good drivers record/CDL not requiredAny equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesAbility to meet attendance requirementsAbility to read, write, and communicate in the English language effectivelyAbility to read and follow a map and/or hand-written directionsAbility to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbingAbility to drive a box truck safely and in compliance with laws, policies, insurance policy requirements, and regulationsDuties require frequent periods of physical mobility, including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and lifting.
