Global Process Data Consultant - Source to Pay (STP)

We are seeking an experienced Global Process Data Consultant – Source to Pay (STP) to support large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives. This role will focus on ensuring business data is fit-for-purpose, standardized, governed, and ready to support process design, system build, data migration, and adoption.

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Candidate Location: EMEA or APAC only

Required QualificationsExperience

• 5+ years of SAP functional experience with a strong data focus.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA , preferably in greenfield implementations.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale, global ERP implementations.
• Deep understanding of value-stream business processes and related data objects.
• Experience supporting data migration, cleansing, harmonization, and validation activities.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP master data objects, including:
• Material
• Vendor/Business Partner
• BOM
• Outline Agreements
• PIRs
• Source Lists
• Routings
• Pricing
• Customer
• Other relevant master and transactional data
• Understanding of S/4HANA data model changes compared with ECC.
• Experience with SAP MDG or similar data governance tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with data migration tools such as:
• ADM
• SAP Migration Cockpit
• LVM
• ETL tools
• Ability to read and interpret functional specifications and data models.

Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Coupa is a significant plus.
• Strong procurement experience is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or asset-intensive industries.
• Previous experience as a Functional Data Lead or Data Domain Lead .
• Experience defining global templates and harmonized data models.
• Knowledge of data quality tools, metrics, and governance practices.

Position Purpose

The organization is undertaking several large-scale global transformation projects requiring data conversion, migration, and ongoing management of process-related data, including reference, conditional, configuration, and transactional data.

The Functional Process Data Expert will support a global greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation across multiple value streams, including Record to Report (RTR), Plan to Deliver (PTD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Source to Pay (STP), and Order to Cash (OTC) .

The role will serve as a bridge between business process owners, SAP functional teams, and the data enablement organization, ensuring data requirements are incorporated into solution design and execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Enablement & Solution Design

• Partner with global and regional business stakeholders to define data requirements aligned with standardized value-stream processes.
• Translate business process designs into clear master and transactional data definitions for S/4HANA.
• Support template design by ensuring consistent data models, attributes, and hierarchies across geographies.
• Validate data readiness for end-to-end process execution across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return processes.

Functional Process Data Ownership

• Define data objects, attributes, and mandatory fields.
• Support business rules, validations, and derivations.
• Align data structures with SAP best practices and applicable industry standards.

Data Migration & Readiness

• Support data cleansing, enrichment, and harmonization activities.
• Define and validate data mapping rules from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
• Participate in mock conversions, data loads, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure data quality thresholds are achieved prior to cutover.
