Accountant

Staff Accountant / General Ledger Accountant We are partnering with a well-established organization in the Memphis area that is seeking an accounting professional to join its finance team. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger activity • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes • Support financial reporting and account analysis • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies • Assist with audit preparation and documentation • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures • Support special projects as needed Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required • General ledger accounting experience required • Experience working in a nonprofit environment strongly preferred • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Additional Information: • Full-time, permanent opportunity • Onsite position in the Memphis area • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Stable organization with a collaborative team environment If you have a strong accounting foundation and experience supporting general ledger activities, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with you.
