WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHManage the plant’s production functions, including shift teams, raw materials team and service teamEnsure that the plant produces the required quantity of quality productsDirect the effective and efficient use of plant production equipment and peopleProvide leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting and delegating as the situation requiresOversee plant management in terms of anticipating future needs of the plant, including input into three-year improvement plansManage plant production following Cement Industrial Framework and proceduresBudget for all plant volumes, including raw materials, fuels, intermediate products and cement shipmentsSupervise clinker production processManage refractory repairs for kilns and clinker coolers including budgeting, products specifications, and installationDirect the setting of annual department and personal objectivesComplete performance appraisalsLiaise with other departmentsOversee the reporting of department’s effectivenessSafeguard assets, while establishing environmental complianceDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering field plus 7 years of progressively responsible, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related engineering position within a cement plant.Required Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of cement plant experience including exposure to all functional areas within a cement plant.Required Technical Skills: Computer skills with at least the following: Word, Excel, SAPTravel Requirements: Up to 15%
