Contract Tax Attorney

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review fiduciary, estate, gift, trust, and individual income tax returns, including Forms 1041, 706, 709, and 1040Advise on estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer mattersConduct legal and tax research related to federal and state tax lawsAssist with tax planning strategies and complex tax-related issuesSupport audits, examinations, tax authority inquiries, and compliance mattersCollaborate with attorneys, fiduciaries, accountants, and professional staff on client projectsManage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracyMonitor tax law developments and provide practical recommendations
QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree required; active Pennsylvania license required2+ years of experience in tax, estate planning, trust administration, or fiduciary matters preferredExperience preparing or reviewing Forms 1041, 706, 709, and 1040 strongly preferredKnowledge of federal and state tax laws, estate planning, and trust administrationStrong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel preferredEstate planning, wealth transfer, or fiduciary tax experience highly desirable
Anticipated Pay Rate: $50 to $80 per hour
