BookMyPort is seeking a proactive and result-oriented Sales Manager to drive business development and expand our customer base in the coastal shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate business for containerized and bulk cargo.
- Identify and develop strategic clients across India.
- Prepare competitive pricing and commercial proposals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, Shipping Lines, Vessel Owners, CHAs, Liner Agencies, and other industry partners.
- Resolve commercial and contract-related matters.
- Track sales performance and present regular business reports to management.
- Travel across India to meet customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Report directly to the Director – Sales.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates from the Shipping, Coastal Shipping, Inland Waterways, Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Logistics, or Port Services industry will be preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of sales/business development experience in the shipping industry.
- Sound knowledge of coastal shipping, inland waterways, and international shipping processes.
- Strong industry network with Shipping Lines, Vessel Owners, CHAs, and Liner Agencies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Graduate in any discipline.
