Job Title: Classical Dance Teacher (Bharatnatyam or Kathak)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Classical Dance Teacher (Bharatnatyam or Kathak) to join our school. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Classical dance forms and the ability to inspire students through creative and engaging dance instruction. The teacher will be responsible for training students for performances, competitions, annual functions, and other cultural events while promoting discipline, confidence, and appreciation for Indian culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct dance classes for students across different grade levels.
• Teach Classical dance forms such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Odissi, Sattriya.
• Choreograph performances for annual functions, cultural programs, competitions, and special events.
• Prepare students for inter-school and intra-school dance competitions.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Foster creativity, confidence, teamwork, and stage presence among students.
• Ensure a safe, disciplined, and positive learning environment during dance sessions.
• Coordinate with school management and event committees for cultural activities and performances.
• Maintain attendance records and performance reports of students.
• Contribute to the overall development of the school's performing arts program.

Required Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Certification/Diploma/Degree in Indian Dance from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian dance techniques, expressions, rhythm and choreography.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or professional dance training experience
• Experience in handling school performances and cultural events will be an added advantage.
