Position: Consultant – Surgical Gastroenterology

Location: Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh

Qualification:

• MCh / DrNB in Surgical Gastroenterology
• MBBS + MS/DNB General Surgery
• Candidates from a recognized institute

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of post-MCh/DrNB experience
• Should be able to independently perform major and routine GI surgeries
• Strong preference for candidates with independent operative experience rather than only assisting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform open and laparoscopic GI surgeries
• Manage surgeries involving stomach, intestine, colon, rectum, gallbladder, liver and pancreas
• Manage emergency GI surgical cases
• Pre-operative assessment and post-operative management
• Handle OPD/IPD and surgical consultations
• Coordinate with Gastroenterology, Critical Care, Radiology and Anaesthesia teams
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions
• Maintain surgical documentation and clinical protocols

Key Skills Required:

• Strong independent surgical decision-making
• Good laparoscopic skills
• Ability to independently handle emergency surgical cases
• Experience in complex GI procedures
• Good patient communication and team-management skills

Ideal Candidate:

A MCh/DrNB Surgical Gastroenterologist with 3+ years post-qualification experience , who is confident in independently operating and managing GI surgical cases.
