Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Executive (CPA) to take on a senior finance role within our Pune finance team, working closely with the Senior Finance Manager on core financial operations, month-end close, and business reporting. This role offers significant scope for growth as our finance function scales, with strong potential to progress into broader finance leadership over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead the month-end close process ensuring highly accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and provisions.
- Reconcile and analyze complex account balances.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Guide and mentor junior finance team members.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for business continuity.
- Partner closely with the Senior Finance Manager on strategic and operational finance matters.
Reconciliation & AP/AR Management
- Oversee bank, credit card, and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle, vendor compliance, and accurate receivables aging/collections.
Strategic Finance & Ad-Hoc Operations
- Partner with internal stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and insights to drive critical business decisions.
Compliance
- Enforce adherence to financial regulations and internal company policies, ensuring pristine documentation and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience strictly in the Core Accounting & Finance domain.
- Experience must be in core corporate finance/accounting.
- Proven mid-level leadership or team management experience.
- CPA qualification (fully qualified) OR a minimum of two CPA subjects cleared — mandatory for interview eligibility.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced financial formulas, large dataset management).
- Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks or similar enterprise accounting software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English for seamless global stakeholder management.
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset geared toward continuous process optimization.
- Exposure to GAAP/IFRS conversion, GAP analysis, or multi-geography reporting a strong plus.
