Senior Solution Architect – Presales & Technical Leadership

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with strong presales expertise to design technical solutions, support the sales cycle and lead a team of technical professionals. This role sits between engineering, sales and delivery. You will understand client needs, shape the right solution, and present it convincingly to technical and executive audiences. You will build the capability of the team around you through hands‑on leadership, coaching and structured training.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and prospects to understand business challenges, technical environments and requirements
• Design end-to-end solution architectures that are secure, scalable and aligned with client goals
• Identify where AI and automation can add value to client solutions, and advise on practical, realistic use cases
• Lead the technical side of presales activity, including discovery sessions, demos, proof‑of‑concepts, workshops and technical presentations
• Prepare and review proposals, RFP/RFI responses, solution documents, effort estimates and pricing inputs
• Work with sales and business development to qualify opportunities, shape the pitch and support deal closure
• Present solutions and technical concepts clearly to executives, decision‑makers and technical stakeholders, including explaining AI capabilities, limits and risks in plain terms
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of solution engineers, presales consultants or technical specialists
• Design and deliver training programs, onboarding, knowledge‑sharing sessions and technical upskilling for the team
• Set standards, templates and reusable assets for solution design, demos and proposals
• Coordinate with delivery and engineering teams for a smooth handover from presales to implementation
• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI, and recommend what the organization should adopt or offer
• Provide technical input to service offerings, go‑to‑market plans and client strategy

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, presales or a related field
• Substantial experience leading, managing and mentoring technical or presales teams
• Proven experience designing and delivering training, coaching or capability‑building programs for technical staff
• Strong working knowledge of AI and generative AI, including what LLMs, AI agents and automation tools can and cannot do, and where they fit in enterprise solutions
• Awareness of AI risks such as data privacy, hallucination and governance, and how to address them in solution design
• Strong track record of supporting the sales cycle, including RFP/RFI responses, demos, proofs‑of‑concept and client workshops
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), integrations and security fundamentals
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and measurable value
• Experience estimating effort, scoping projects and preparing technical proposals
• Hands‑on technical experience would be preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C‑level and technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound judgment on trade‑offs
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across sales, engineering and delivery

Relevant certifications (e.g. cloud architecture, security or TOGAF) are an advantage
