About the Role

Presidency School is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Institution (HOI) to provide academic leadership with a strong focus on pedagogy, curriculum implementation, teaching-learning practices, and overall school development .

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished academic leader with a strong understanding of modern pedagogical practices, curriculum frameworks, teacher development, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic academic and pedagogical leadership to the school.
• Drive the effective implementation of the school's academic vision, curriculum, and learning objectives.
• Lead and strengthen teaching-learning methodologies and classroom practices across grades.
• Mentor, guide, and develop teachers to improve instructional effectiveness and student outcomes.
• Conduct regular classroom observations, academic reviews, and teacher feedback sessions .
• Develop and implement academic improvement plans based on learning outcomes and school performance data.
• Ensure effective curriculum planning, lesson planning, assessments, remediation, and enrichment programmes.
• Promote experiential, inquiry-based, activity-based, and student-centric learning .
• Lead teacher training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), workshops, and academic mentoring initiatives.
• Monitor student learning outcomes and implement appropriate interventions wherever required.
• Collaborate with Academic Heads, Coordinators, teachers, counsellors, and other stakeholders to ensure academic consistency.
• Encourage the use of technology and innovative pedagogical practices in teaching and learning.
• Ensure academic processes and practices are aligned with CBSE/Board requirements and institutional standards .
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and academic excellence.
• Support the Principal/Management in strategic academic planning and institutional development.
• Maintain strong engagement with parents and address academic concerns professionally.
• Contribute to the overall development of students beyond academics, including 21st-century skills, values, life skills, and holistic development .

Candidate Profile

• Master's Degree in Education or a relevant subject; B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred .
• 15+ years of experience in school education, with substantial experience in academic/pedagogical leadership.
• Prior experience as Principal / Vice Principal / Head of School / Academic Head / Curriculum Head / HOI will be preferred.
• Strong expertise in pedagogy, curriculum planning, assessment, teacher development, and academic quality management .
• Proven ability to lead and mentor large teaching teams.
• Strong knowledge of ICSE curriculum and school academic processes .
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to drive change, manage stakeholders, and build a high-performing academic culture.
• Passion for education and commitment to student-centric learning and academic excellence .
