ROWLETT, TX Order: 34993 Order Type : Temp This is a 2nd shift Brake Press Mechanic (Setup Specialist) $23.50 - $36.50 DOE Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Mechanic (Setup Specialist) to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of Amada Brake Press equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and the mechanical operation of Amada press brakes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Key Responsibilities Set up and prepare Amada Brake Press machines for production runs. Install, remove, and change tooling as required for various jobs and specifications. Perform mechanical adjustments and machine calibrations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime. Conduct preventative maintenance on Amada Brake Press equipment. Verify machine setups meet production requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications. Collaborate with production personnel to improve setup times and machine performance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Minimum 5-10 years of experience setting up and maintaining Amada Brake Press machines. Strong knowledge of brake press tooling, setup procedures, and machine mechanics. Proven ability to change tooling and perform machine adjustments efficiently. Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on press brake equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving and mechanical aptitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CNC-controlled Amada press brakes. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and manufacturing best practices. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and work around industrial machinery safely.
