Powder Coat TechKearny, NJ 1st and 3rd Shift Roles Available $23--$26 an hour+overtime+benefits Direct Hire-Union FacilityThe Powder Coating Technician position is responsible for all functions related to the daily production output utilizing a manual spray powder coat gun system and spray booth. This position will require the use of computers, gas fired ovens, air powered filtration systems, air powered spray guns and measurement instruments.Responsibilities and RequirementsPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper coating adhesionOperate and maintain powder coating equipment and spray gunsApply powder coatings evenly and accurately to designated surfacesMonitor and control curing processes to ensure optimal finish qualityAbility to read and interpret 2D prints and work instructions1-year minimum experience working in a powder coat shop utilizing manual spray applicationsAbility to use MIL thickness measurement instrumentsAbility to set parameters and operate oven controls per work instructionsPhysical Requirements :Ability to stand, walk, and move around the work area for extended periodsCapability to lift and carry objects weighing up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]Dexterity to handle spray guns, tools, and small parts with precisionGood visual acuity to inspect finishes and detect defectsAbility to work in environments with fumes, dust, and potential noise hazardsFlexibility to work in various positions, including bending, stooping, and reaching
