This role requires efficiency, professionalism, and strong customer service skills to ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience while maintaining compliance with alcohol service laws and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up banquet bar(s) according to event specifications, including stocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and suppliesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and portion controlsVerify guest age identification and adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and organization of bar area before, during, and after eventsMonitor guest alcohol consumption and address issues professionallyProcess drink tickets, cash, or hosted bar transactions accurately (as applicable)Break down and properly store all bar equipment and leftover inventory after eventsCommunicate effectively with banquet staff, servers, and management to ensure seamless serviceMaintain knowledge of current drink trends, classic cocktails, beer, and wineFollow all health, safety, and sanitation standardsQualificationsMinimum age requirement per state law to serve alcoholPrevious bartending experience (banquet or high-volume preferred)Knowledge of cocktail preparation and standard drink recipesStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50 lbsAlcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferredSkills & CompetenciesTwo years professional experience in a bartending roleProfessional appearance and demeanorStrong multitasking ability in fast-paced environmentsAttention to detail and accuracyTeam-oriented mindsetExcellent communication skills
