Job Description

Cosa Nostra is a Lahore-based restaurant focused on Italian cuisine, quality food, and memorable hospitality. We are seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting for restaurant operations at our Lahore location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, cash records, bank statements, and supporting documentation.
• Record daily sales, receipts, supplier invoices, payments, and other restaurant transactions accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, prepare payment schedules, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with monthly closing, financial statements, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
• Review inventory and food-cost records with relevant teams and help identify discrepancies or unusual variances.
• Support payroll processing, tax documentation, and compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.
• Organize records for audits and provide clear financial information to management when requested.

The successful candidate will bring sound accounting judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information while working collaboratively with restaurant and administrative teams.

Job Specification

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Ability to process invoices, payments, receipts, bank transactions, and daily sales records accurately.
• Working knowledge of monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and expense or variance analysis.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software; strong Excel skills for calculations, summaries, and data checks.
• Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and applicable tax documentation.
• Careful handling of inventory and cost records, with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Strong organization, numerical accuracy, confidentiality, and time-management skills.
• Clear communication and ability to coordinate with restaurant operations, suppliers, and management.
