To provide first aid, nursing care, health monitoring and emergency medical support to students and staff and maintain a safe and healthy school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and immediate nursing care for students and staff.
• Attend to injuries, illness, fever, accidents and medical emergencies.
• Maintain and manage the school infirmary and first-aid kits.
• Maintain student medical records, treatment records and incident reports.
• Monitor students with known medical conditions, allergies and special health requirements.
• Administer authorized medicines as per school policy and maintain medication records.
• Inform parents/guardians and the Principal regarding serious illness, injury or medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with doctors, hospitals and emergency services when required.
• Assist in health check-ups, health screenings, medical camps and vaccination programmes.
• Promote hygiene, nutrition, personal health and healthy habits among students.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper stock of medicines and medical supplies.
• Provide medical support during sports, school events, educational trips and other activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student medical information.
• Follow school safety, emergency and child-protection procedures.

Qualification

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid Nursing Council Registration.
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred.

Experience

• 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• School or pediatric experience will be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of first aid and emergency care.
• Child-friendly, caring and patient approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
