Account Executive

Company: SMK MG – SMK Auto LLP Industry: Automobile Dealership Location: Chennai Department: Finance & Accounts Experience: 1–4 Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of our MG automobile dealership. The candidate will be responsible for accurate accounting entries, reconciliations, statutory compliance support, vendor/customer accounts, banking and documentation. Key Responsibilities Handle day-to-day accounting entries including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries. Maintain and reconcile customer, vendor and bank ledgers . Process vehicle, service, spare parts and other dealership-related invoices. Monitor accounts receivable and payable and follow up for outstanding payments. Verify purchase invoices, expense bills and supporting documents before processing. Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory compliance activities. Prepare and maintain TDS-related records, certificates and supporting documents. Perform regular bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation . Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, vouchers, receipts and payment records. Coordinate with Sales, Service, Spare Parts and Administration teams for accounting-related requirements. Assist in OEM/dealer accounting, including reconciliation of claims, incentives, discounts and other receivables. Support month-end closing and preparation of MIS reports. Assist in audit requirements and provide necessary schedules and documents. Ensure timely posting of transactions and accuracy of accounting records. Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate for timely resolution. Desired Skills Good knowledge of Tally / ERP / accounting software and MS Excel. Basic understanding of GST and TDS. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping. Good reconciliation and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple transactions. Qualification B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.
