CPA-DMV. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented US Income Tax Professional with hands-on experience preparing and reviewing Federal, State, and Local Income Tax Returns for U.S. clients. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations and be capable of handling multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. Federal, State, and Local Income Tax Returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Analyze financial statements and supporting documents to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Prepare tax workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Research U.S. tax laws and regulations to resolve tax-related issues.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Assist with tax planning and year-end tax projections.
• Respond to IRS and State tax notices and assist in resolving tax matters.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain required tax information and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with filing deadlines.
• Work with the team to improve tax processes and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, EA, or CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in U.S. Income Tax.
• Strong experience preparing Federal, State, and Local tax returns for U.S. clients.
• Working knowledge of U.S. tax compliance requirements.
• Experience with tax preparation software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-state tax filings.
• Knowledge of tax planning and tax research.
• Experience handling IRS and State tax notices.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus.
