The focus at this level is on learning, mastering basic kitchen tasks, maintaining hygiene, and assisting senior chefs. </p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li>Mise en Place (Preparation): Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, herbs, fruits, and basic ingredients. </li><li>Basic Cooking: Assist in basic cooking tasks such as boiling, blanching, or preparing simple sauces and dressings. </li><li>Kitchen Hygiene &amp; Sanitation: Clean and sanitize work stations, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Ensure trash is properly disposed of. </li><li>Stock Rotation: Assist in receiving deliveries and storing ingredients using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. </li><li>Learning &amp; Development: Actively listen to instructions, ask questions, and learn the kitchen's recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. </li> </ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills: </strong> </p><ul><li>High school diploma or basic culinary arts certificate/diploma. </li><li>Freshers required </li><li>Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn. </li><li>Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. </li><li>Strong physical stamina (standing for long hours, lifting heavy pots) </li> </ul>
