The OpportunityGaines Investment Trust is looking for a Business Analyst who can turn data into clear, actionable information while keeping important business processes organized and on track.
You'll own recurring reporting, track critical compliance deadlines, support purchasing and vendor analysis, and help leadership identify trends, risks, and opportunities. You'll also serve as a cross-trained backup for the accounting team when needed.
We're looking for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized who takes ownership, works with a sense of urgency, and is comfortable using SQL, spreadsheets, and AI tools to improve how information is gathered, analyzed, and reported.
What You'll DoOwn weekly, monthly, and annual reporting and continually improve its structure and efficiencyBuild and maintain reporting workflows using SQL, spreadsheets, and AI toolsStandardize reports so information is accurate, consistent, and easy for leadership to interpretTrack lender reporting, property tax deadlines, permits, licenses, and other key compliance requirementsMaintain organized, audit-ready records and proactively flag upcoming deadlines or risksManage and improve the company's purchasing processBuild dashboards and analytics to track spending, vendor performance, order timing, and budget variancesSupport vendor sourcing, pricing analysis, negotiations, and purchasing decisionsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and ways to improve purchasing practicesCross-train with the accounting team and provide backup coverage as needed
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA)1–3 years of professional experienceSQL skills, including queries, reporting, and data analysisStrong Excel and spreadsheet skillsCoursework or hands-on experience with database managementComfortable using AI tools for analysis, reporting, and process improvementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a sense of urgencyClear written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter who takes ownership and works effectively with minimal supervisionReal estate or previous analyst experience preferredPurchasing or property management software experience is a plus
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in person at our La Jolla headquarters during standard business hours.
