Job Description
The opportunityAn established defense and aerospace manufacturer in Longmont needs a senior CNC Programmer/Machinist to program and machine high-precision, complex components. The parts go into mission-critical systems, so tolerances are tight and quality comes first.This is a senior hands-on role. You own parts from Mastercam program to finished, verified component, and you train and guide the machinists around you.

What you’ll doProgram CNC machines in Mastercam from blueprints, technical documentation and internal standardsMachine complex, high-precision components to tight tolerancesRun first-off parts and monitor machining, spotting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance cuts and adjusting as neededRead and apply blueprints and advanced GD&TCheck dimensions and alignment with hand tools and measurement equipmentSupport quality assurance and keep safety standards highTrain and mentor other members of the manufacturing teamLead troubleshooting and write up the fixes, and contribute to continuous improvement
What you’ll bring3+ years of machining experience3+ years programming CNC machines in Mastercam3+ years applying GD&T in a production environmentA proven record of holding tight tolerances on complex partsStrong blueprint reading and math skillsClear communication and the patience to teach othersHigh school diploma or equivalent. xzbcwsv A certificate in precision machining is a plus.
