You'll work closely alongside the Optometrist/owner and an experienced part-time Optical Assistant, becoming an important part of the practice rather than simply another member of a large team.They're looking for somebody who can take ownership of the dispensing side of the patient journey, allowing the Optometrist to concentrate more of their time on clinical work.For the right person, there's also the opportunity to become involved in management responsibilities, social media and the future development of the practice.The RoleThis is a varied position where you'll have the opportunity to get involved throughout the practice, including:Providing a friendly and personal experience from the moment patients arriveConfidently dispensing spectaclesHelping patients with frame and lens selectionTaking ownership of the dispensing side of the patient journeyFrame ordering and helping manage the practice's eyewear collectionGeneral day-to-day support within the practiceBuilding relationships with returning patientsGetting involved with social media and practice developmentPotentially taking on additional management responsibilities as the role developsIdeally, being able to trace lenses and assemble spectaclesThey're particularly interested in somebody who is personable, friendly and naturally strong with customers, alongside having good optical knowledge.The PracticeThis isn't a large high-street multiple.
